Pest Aside is an all-natural bug repellent stick that repels ticks, mosquitoes, flies, and other pests that might bother you when you’re trying to enjoy the great outdoors! Pest Aside is a five-ingredient blend that’s very effective against all these insects, and more!
We use coconut oil, neem oil, citronella essential oil, patchouli essential oil, and candelilla wax to create a salve that’s applied from a convenient, non-messy tube. All four oils are known for their bug repellent properties — and neem, in particular, makes it work better than most essential oil-based options! Make sure you have it whenever you plan on being outside!

ABSOLUTELY NO artificial colors, fillers, flavors (natural or artificial), preservatives, added sugar, sodium benzoate, citric acid, acetaminophen, ibuprofen, or other junk! Free of corn, soy, gluten, eggs, dairy, and fish.
NOTE: Some Pest Aside products were made with a darker neem oil this season. The product is darker in appearance, but quality and effectiveness is unchanged.

Organic Coconut Oil
Cocos nucifera
Coconut oil comes from the coconut fruit. It is typically found in tropical climates like Hawaii. It is widely popular and may support brain health, may support gut health, can moisturize skin, and has anti-inflammatory and antifungal properties. Coconut oil is found in a solid form with a low melting point.
Organic Neem Oil
Azadirachta indica
Neem oil comes from neem trees that grow in tropical and subtropical areas. This oil is great for pest control. It also has antifungal, antibacterial, and antiseptic benefits. It’s a powerful herb that can be used to repel pests on plants, skin, and even hair.
Candelilla Wax
Euphorbia antisyphilitica
Candelilla wax comes from the candelilla shrub, which is native to Mexico. It can be found in cosmetics, food, candles, and even some pharmaceuticals. The benefits of this natural wax are that it has a melting point around the middle of the natural waxes and that it is not water-soluble.
Citronella Essential Oil
Cymbopogon nardus
Citronella, also known as Cymbopogon nardus, is a fragrant grass native to tropical areas of Asia. It is well-known for its bug-repelling properties.
Patchouli Essential Oil
Pogostemon cablin
Patchouli, also known as Pogostemon cablin, is a flowering plant from the mint family. It is primarily used for the fragrance that its leaves produce when processed for essential oil. The oil can support skin health, and the fragrance may benefit mental well-being.
Safety
Safe for ages 6 mo+.
Do not allow ingestion. Topical use only.
Not recommended in pregnancy. This is due to a lack of studies regarding neem oil. Orally, neem oil can have contraceptive properties. The topical use in areas other than the vaginal (where it is also used for contraception) has not been studied for safety during pregnancy.
Does contain coconut oil, and some people with tree nut allergies may react.

Usage
Rub a small amount on exposed skin areas, especially around the ankles and neck. Reapply as needed.
